Integrated Manufacturing with Samshion
Most CNC providers quote standalone machining, but Samshion redefines efficiency for orders exceeding 500+ units. We combine processes to avoid costly solid-block milling and maximize material performance.
For aluminum production, Samshion merges 3/4/5-axis CNC with tool-based fabrication, forging, and casting. This hybrid approach achieves intricate geometries while slashing per-unit costs for mass production.
Extrusions gain precision through post-machining. Castings meet ±0.05mm tolerances via CNC finishing. Forged blanks become aerospace-ready with our 5-axis milling. Samshion adapts to your technical demands.
Aluminum Extrusion + CNC Machining
Extrusion forces aluminum billets through custom dies to create continuous profiles. Samshion uses machinable grades like 6061 and 6063, optimized for post-CNC cutting, drilling, and milling. This hybrid approach delivers intricate cross-sections (±0.1mm tolerance) and irregular geometries. Ideal for automotive frames, heat sinks, and architectural systems requiring strength and precision.
Die Casting + CNC Machining
Die casting injects molten aluminum into high-pressure steel molds, ideal for mass production due to tooling costs. Samshion optimizes this for orders exceeding 1,000+ units. Post-casting, Samshion’s 5-axis CNC machines refine parts to ±0.05mm tolerances. Achieve intricate cooling channels, threaded holes, and polished surfaces – surpassing standalone process limits.
Forging + CNC Machining
Forging shapes aluminum alloys (e.g., 6061, 7075) under extreme compressive force, enhancing grain structure for unmatched durability. Samshion’s process is optimized for high-stress applications. Post-forging, Samshion’s 5-axis CNC machining achieves ±0.03mm tolerances. This hybrid method outperforms standalone casting or machining, delivering 30% stronger components at reduced costs.
Investment Casting + CNC Machining
Investment casting utilizes wax patterns to craft precise metal components, delivering flawless surfaces and tight tolerances without parting lines. Samshion’s process excels in aerospace and medical sectors requiring complex geometries. Samshion’s aluminum investment castings are CNC-machined to ±0.05mm accuracy, then enhanced with anodizing or ceramic coatings. Ideal for high-performance valves, turbine blades, and custom enclosures.

CNC Machining Design Guidelines
Optimize Your CNC Designs for Maximum Efficiency
At Samshion, we provide expert CNC design guidelines to ensure manufacturability, reduce production costs, and deliver flawless CNC-machined parts. Our team offers real-time Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback, helping you refine your designs for optimal precision and efficiency.
Why Following These Guidelines Matters
Reduce Costs: Avoid redesigns and tooling conflicts.
Speed Up Production: Streamlined designs enable 3-5 day lead times.
Ensure Quality: Achieve ±0.02 mm tolerances with ISO 9001-certified processes.
Design Guidelines for Radii & Internal Corners
Sharp internal corners naturally form rounded edges (radii) in CNC machining. To ensure tool longevity and precision:
Drill Depth: Keep to ≤12x drill diameter to prevent tool stress.
End Mill Depth: Limit to ≤10x tool diameter for better tool life and smoother cuts.
Design Tip: Avoid deep, narrow cavities to prevent tool deflection and ensure consistent results.
Guidelines for Threads & Tapped Holes
To ensure reliable threading and avoid issues, follow these specifications:
Small Threads (≤5 mm): Depth should be ≤ 3× diameter.
Large Threads (>5 mm): Depth should be ≤ 4-6× diameter.
Custom Solutions: We machine any thread size and specification, including metric, UNC, and UNF threads, ensuring precision and reliability.
Undercut Design for Seamless Machining
Undercuts are essential for creating complex parts with seamless features. To ensure smooth machining and reduced costs:
Types Supported: Square profiles, full-radius grooves, and dovetail undercuts.
Best Practices: Always specify undercut dimensions in CAD files and use standard tooling sizes to minimize production costs.
Text & Engraving Guidelines for CNC Machining
Ensure legibility and durability for engraved text:
CNC Milling: Minimum 0.5 mm width and 0.1 mm depth for clear and readable text.
CNC Turning: Use laser marking for permanent, clear text on round or cylindrical parts.
Options: Choose CNC engraving or laser marking for custom fonts or symbols.
